We do not compromise with your privacy. Any data that we collect from our users are done with the intention of creating a better user experience.
In this page, we will limit the technical jargon and write our privacy policy in layman’s terms, to be as transparent as possible about how we process your data.

Your rights as a user of our services

You have the right to information, correction, blocking or deletion of your data at any time. Any given consent can be revoked at any time and you may partially object to the processing of your data, even if no consent was required from you for the processing.

Data we collect about you

Your data is captured during our communication it to us. This may, for example, be data that you enter in our contact form. Other data is collected automatically when visiting the website through our IT systems. These are above all technical data (e.g. Internet browser, operating system or time of the page request). The collection of this data is automatic as soon as you visit our platform.

• Registration Information: When you register for Habitify (for our free offer, paid subscription, or use of a code), we collect the personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when registering through your access device, except for your passwords. 
• Mobile Advertising ID: If not disabled by the user, we collect the Mobile Advertising ID provided by your mobile device. If you do not want us to collect this Mobile Advertising ID, you can always disable or change this on your device. Please see this manual for iOS devices and this manual for Android devices.
• Cookies: For the provision of the Habitify service and to make our offer more user-friendly, effective and secure, we also use so-called cookies for data collection and storage. Cookies are small data packets that are stored on your device and do no harm.
• Tracking Services: We use tracking services to collect information about the behavior of visitors to our pages. So we can ensure an optimal user experience. These services use pseudonymous user profiles with the help of cookies, so that a direct inference to persons is not possible. Of course you can contradict the creation of these profiles at any time. Incidentally, each access device can be configured in such a way that basically no cookies can be created at all, or they can be deleted directly after the session.
• Habit Data: Everything you input into your habit including but not limited to your habit name, completions, streaks, settings, notes are stored pseudonymous on our server.
• Health Activities: we enable users to automatically track their health-related habits such as running distance, meditation minutes in Habitify for tracking convenience, and better health management. In order to do this, we collect health-related activities from Apple Health, and Google Fit. We do not collect any specific measurements that can be used to identify a user from their health statistics. You can view all the supported Health activities here.
• Location Data: Habitify requests access to location data via GPS services of your device such as Google Map, to enable location-based reminders. For example, we will remind you of your habits Take a Vitamin when you are arriving at work, Walk Your Dog when you are arriving home. You set up the location for the habits and we will request background location data access only to remind you. We do not store any location data on our servers.
  

How we collect your data

We collect your data in four different ways:

• Automated when you visit our website
• Through cookies
• Through your voluntary input on our web-based application or on the mobile version
• Automatic with Health apps once you have given permission

Your data is stored pseudonymous on our Firebase server and also servers of third-party vendors in whom we trust and with whom we share for the most seamless synchronization between devices. We have legal contracts with these third-party vendors to protect your personal data. 

Health Connect Data

a. Collection and Usage of Health Data:

We value the privacy and security of our users. Our mobile application requests access to health-related permissions, specifically the ability to read steps and sleep information. This data is collected for the sole purpose of enhancing the user experience and providing features related to health and fitness.

b. Purpose of Health Data Access:

Our app utilizes health-related permissions to track daily steps, and sleep patterns. This data is processed locally on the user's device and is not shared with any third parties.

c. User Consent:

By using our app, you explicitly consent to the collection and usage of health-related data for the purposes outlined in this privacy policy. You have the option to grant or deny these permissions within the app settings.

d. Security Measures:

We implement robust security measures to protect the confidentiality and integrity of health-related data. This includes encryption and secure storage.

e. Data Retention:

We retain health-related data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy policy. Users can request the deletion of their data by

Our app does not share health-related data with any third-party services, advertisers, or external entities. We do not engage in the sale or exchange of user data.

What we use your data for

The main purpose of storing your data is to provide an optimal user experience on all platforms.

We store data in order to seamlessly sync your habit statistic between your phone (whether iOS or Android), your Apple Watch, your Mac or your desktop (with Habitify Web). And now, Habitify will also allow users to seamlessly sync their health activities statistics between different platforms (Habitify with Google Fit, Samsung Health, and Apple Health).

We also use the data to create a customized experience for each user. Whether it is weekly or monthly reports on your habit-building progress or your daily reminder, we strive to craft engaging, personalized messages.

With user data, it also helps the developers to discover errors and bugs that you encounter.

As we are constantly improving ourselves and offering you optimized services, data in pseudonymous form (through usage profiles) are also needed for advertising, improving and personalizing the app experience for each user and discovering errors. Of course, this can be contradicted at any time.

Lastly, we’ll use your data to send periodic emails about new features, offerings, obtain your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with the product.

How we work with partners

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who are GDPR-compliant and assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety.

CleverTap

CleverTap is an omni-channel marketing platform that helps us collect, store, and analyze your in-app data to design and optimize your experience. Your data is collected and protected by this third party according to their privacy policy.

Google Firebase

Google Firebase is a comprehensive app development platform provided by Google. Our server is hosted on Google Firebase so your data will also be collected and protected by this third party according to their privacy policy.

‍Paddle

Paddle is a gateway payment platform that helps you purchase Habitify via the web-based version. Your purchase information is collected and protected by this third party according to their privacy policy.

Use of your data for other purposes

In addition to the purposes already mentioned, we are also subject to legal requirements. These are:

• Any request for information (and the related disclosure) to governmental authorities
• Any request for information (and the related disclosure) to copyright holders
• For the misuse recognition of our provided services
• Trouble-shooting or -avoidance

Changes

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material we will provide at least 30 days’ notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. 

When our Terms of Use changes, we will notify you via your email or any contact information you voluntarily provided us. 

By continuing to access or use our Service after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you are no longer authorized to use the Service.
